First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study is testing the LEGION Medial Stabilized knee implant in 144 people who need total knee replacement due to arthritis or joint damage. What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

LEGION Medial Stabilized knee implant (with cemented or cementless components)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could confirm that the LEGION knee implant is safe and lasts at least 10 years for most patients, supporting its continued use in knee replacement surgery.

What could go wrong

This is a relatively small study (144 people) and results may not apply to everyone. Implants can fail or cause complications, and long-term follow-up is needed to see if it truly lasts.

Conditions
