No belly cuts: tracking a Surgeon's learning curve for vaginal hysterectomy
NCT ID NCT07465822
First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study watches one gynecology resident as they learn a new type of hysterectomy called V-NOTES, which removes the uterus through the vagina without any cuts on the belly. The goal is to see how long the surgery takes and how safe it is as the resident gains experience. Nineteen women with benign uterine conditions like fibroids or abnormal bleeding took part. The results will help hospitals train future surgeons in this less invasive technique.
