First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a passive leg-paddling motion (LEAP therapy) during 2.5 hours of sitting can improve blood flow and walking ability in people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) and in healthy older adults. About 24 participants will each try both sitting with LEAP therapy and sitting without it, in random order. Researchers will measure blood vessel function, walking capacity, and other health markers before and after each session.
