Summary
This study tested whether laserpuncture (a needle-free form of acupuncture using lasers) could reduce low white blood cell counts caused by chemotherapy and improve quality of life in 30 adults with head and neck cancer. Participants received either real or sham laserpuncture during their first chemotherapy cycle. Researchers measured white blood cell counts and used questionnaires to assess quality of life before and after treatment.
