Laser tweak for lens implants sharpens sight without surgery
NCT ID NCT07473557
First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested a special laser (femtosecond laser) to adjust an artificial lens already placed in the eye during cataract surgery. The goal was to correct leftover blurriness or astigmatism so people could see better without glasses. Twelve adults who had a lens implant and still had vision errors took part, and the laser was used directly on the lens inside the eye. The study checked if this laser touch-up was safe and improved vision over three months.
