Laser light tested to soothe mysterious thigh nerve pain
NCT ID NCT07335822
Summary
This study is testing whether a painless, low-power laser treatment can help people with meralgia paresthetica, a condition where a nerve in the thigh gets pinched, causing pain, burning, or numbness. Researchers will compare the real laser treatment combined with a mild electrical stimulation (TENS) against a fake laser with TENS in 44 participants. The main goal is to see if the laser therapy reduces pain and improves daily function and sleep quality over several weeks.
