First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether low-level laser therapy (photobiomodulation) can help people regain normal feeling after nerve injury from oral surgery or trauma. Thirty adults with numbness or tingling in the lower lip and chin received laser treatment with either a diode or Nd:YAG laser. The goal was to see if these non-invasive light treatments could speed up nerve healing and improve sensation.
