Laser zaps thigh nerve pain in new trial
NCT ID NCT07328360
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding high-power laser therapy to standard care (like lifestyle changes and pain medication) can better relieve pain, tingling, and numbness in people with meralgia paresthetica, a nerve condition affecting the outer thigh. Researchers will compare real laser treatment to a sham laser in 50 adults aged 18-65 who have had symptoms for at least 3 months. The goal is to see if the laser improves pain scores and daily function.
