Laser zaps toothache pain after Nerve-Saving dental treatment
NCT ID NCT07290049
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at children and young adults (ages 9-14) with a painful, inflamed nerve in a lower back molar. Instead of a root canal, they will get a simpler procedure that removes only the infected part of the nerve. Researchers want to see if adding a gentle laser to the standard filling material reduces pain after the procedure. Participants will be randomly assigned to get the filling alone or the filling plus laser, and they will report their pain levels afterward.
