Summary
This study tested whether laser acupuncture, a painless treatment using low-level light, can improve middle ear function and reduce the return of fluid buildup (otitis media with effusion) in 32 children aged 2-10. Participants received either real or fake laser acupuncture over two weeks, plus standard decongestants. The goal was to see if the real treatment helped more children achieve normal ear function and stay symptom-free for one month.
