Which blade gets the breathing tube right the first time?

NCT ID NCT07223762

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two common video laryngoscope blade designs helps doctors place a breathing tube correctly on the first attempt in critically ill adults. It will enroll 2,500 adults in emergency departments and intensive care units who need a breathing tube placed. Doctors will be randomly assigned to use either a standard blade or a more sharply angled blade to see which one leads to more successful first attempts and fewer drops in oxygen levels.
