New hope for slowing rare adrenal tumors

NCT ID NCT03946527

Summary

This study is testing whether monthly injections of a drug called lanreotide can help control advanced or metastatic pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma—rare tumors that form in nerve tissue. It will enroll about 10 adults to see if the treatment safely slows tumor growth compared to how fast their tumors were growing before the study. Researchers will also track survival, tumor response, and changes in hormone levels.
