Summary

This study tested a medicine made from human placenta, called LAENNEC, in 49 adults with chronic liver disease (fatty liver). The goal was to see if it is safe and can improve liver function. Participants received different doses or a placebo, and researchers measured side effects and changes in a key liver enzyme (ALT). The trial is complete, but results are not yet published.
