Could meeting Moms' birth pain expectations prevent postpartum depression?

NCT ID NCT07292649

Summary

This study aims to understand if meeting mothers' expectations for pain relief during childbirth affects their risk of developing postpartum depression. Researchers will follow 3,640 women after delivery to see if those who received the pain management they expected have lower depression rates. This is an observational study that looks for connections rather than testing a treatment.
