Summary
This early study tests a new device that closes off a small pouch in the heart called the left atrial appendage (LAA) in people with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat). The goal is to reduce the risk of stroke without needing long-term blood thinners. The study will include 15 adults with atrial fibrillation who are at higher risk for stroke.
