Experimental CAR-T therapy takes on debilitating nerve disease

NCT ID NCT07592754

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026

Summary

This early study tests a new treatment called KSVCBD, a type of CAR-T cell therapy, for people with a rare autoimmune disease called neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) that has not responded well to standard treatments. The goal is to see if the therapy is safe and if it can reduce relapses and disability. About 18 adults who test positive for AQP4 antibodies and have had at least one relapse in the past year will receive the treatment and be closely monitored.
