New pill aims to shrink uncontrollable growths in kids and adults

This study is testing whether a daily oral medication called KP-001 can safely shrink abnormal blood or lymph vessel growths and reduce related pain and symptoms. It will involve about 150 patients, aged 2 and older, who have conditions like venous malformations, lymphatic malformations, or Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome. For the first 24 weeks, some participants will receive the drug and others a placebo, after which all can receive the active treatment for up to a year.
