First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested a new, portable wearable device (Koya) that uses active compression to treat leg swelling from lymphedema or chronic venous insufficiency. It compared this device to a standard pneumatic compression device in 121 adults. The goal was to see if the new device could reduce limb volume and improve quality of life just as well or better, while being easier to use.
