Can seeing your own knee damage speed up recovery after surgery?

NCT ID NCT07364812

Summary

This study tested whether showing patients photos of their damaged knee cartilage and their new joint's range of motion right after knee replacement surgery could improve their early recovery. Researchers compared 80 patients who chose to see these photos with those who did not. They measured pain, knee function, mobility, and quality of life at 6 weeks to see if the visual information made a difference.
