New study pits Hands-On therapy against gel treatment for common knee pain
NCT ID NCT07445607
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two physical therapy treatments works better for people with chronic knee pain around the kneecap (patellofemoral pain syndrome). Forty-five adults with this condition will be randomly assigned to receive either a hands-on joint mobilization technique, a treatment using ultrasound to deliver a gel into the tissue, or standard exercises. The main goal is to see which approach best improves muscle control, reduces pain, and helps people function better over a four-week treatment period.
