First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares a physical therapy approach that follows clinical guidelines to usual care for patellofemoral pain (knee pain) in 440 active-duty military members. The goal is to see if the guideline-based care improves knee function, reduces pain, and boosts confidence in duty activities over 12 months. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two therapy groups and report their progress at several follow-up points.
