Summary
This study tested a medicated gel (diclofenac) applied once daily to the knee to relieve pain and stiffness from osteoarthritis. About 549 adults with knee osteoarthritis used either the gel or a placebo for 6 weeks. The goal was to see if the gel reduces pain better than a placebo.
