Simple exercises may ease back pain for new moms

NCT ID NCT06750367

First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a type of exercise called the Klapp method could help breastfeeding mothers with a curved upper back (kyphosis) feel less pain and stand straighter. 32 mothers who had given birth by C-section and had neck pain took part. One group did Klapp exercises with a trainer twice a week for a month, while the other group got printed instructions for home exercises. The results may show which approach works better for easing pain and improving confidence in breastfeeding.
