New pill aims to fight fatigue in rare energy disorder

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called KL1333 in 180 adults with primary mitochondrial disease, a condition that causes severe fatigue and muscle weakness. Participants will receive either KL1333 or a placebo for 48 weeks to see if the drug reduces tiredness and improves leg strength and daily function. The goal is to find a safe treatment that eases symptoms and improves quality of life.
