Blood biomarkers may spot ectopic pregnancies sooner

NCT ID NCT03877939

First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether two substances in the blood—kisspeptin 54 and miR-324-3p—can reliably identify ectopic and other non-viable pregnancies. Researchers measured these biomarkers in 433 women with non-viable pregnancies. The goal is to develop a diagnostic test that helps doctors detect these dangerous conditions earlier and more accurately than current methods.
