Taping vs. exercises: new study tackles 'Text Neck'

NCT ID NCT07523568

First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tested two treatments for forward head posture, a common problem where the head juts forward causing neck pain and muscle strain. Forty adults were randomly assigned to receive either kinesiotaping (a special tape applied to the skin) or corrective postural exercises. Researchers measured changes in head angle, neck muscle strength, and movement accuracy to see which approach worked better.
