Tape away PMS? new study tests kinesio taping for symptom relief

NCT ID NCT07155720

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at whether kinesio taping, a type of elastic tape placed on the skin, can reduce premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms and improve happiness and quality of life. It involves 42 women over 18 who have regular periods and significant PMS. Half will get real kinesio taping, and half will get a fake (sham) tape, to see if the taping makes a real difference.
