NCT ID NCT07557732
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at how different types of rewards—like praise for effort versus rewards for good grades—affect children's interest in taking on challenging tasks. About 180 children aged 9 to 13 will complete puzzles and games, and their parents will answer questions about how they reward school successes. The goal is to understand what motivates kids to seek out harder challenges.
