Simple IV fluid switch could protect new kidneys
NCT ID NCT06030609
Summary
This study is testing which of two common IV fluid solutions is better for people right after a kidney transplant. Researchers want to see if one fluid causes fewer electrolyte imbalances and helps protect the function of the new kidney during the critical first week after surgery. About 159 kidney transplant recipients will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two fluid types.
