Life-Saving transplant drug may trigger diabetes

Summary

This study aims to understand why many kidney transplant patients develop diabetes or prediabetes after their surgery. Researchers will follow 120 patients in Poland to see if how quickly their bodies process the anti-rejection drug tacrolimus affects their diabetes risk. The goal is to identify which patients are most vulnerable so doctors can better monitor and manage their health.
