Simple urine test could spot chemo kidney damage in kids sooner
NCT ID NCT02822404
Summary
This study tested a new urine test to detect kidney damage in children receiving chemotherapy. Researchers wanted to see if measuring a protein called cystatin C in urine could be a simpler and more reliable early warning sign of kidney problems than current methods. The goal was to find a better way to monitor the kidney health of young cancer patients during treatment.
