Can a common antifungal drug outsmart brain cancer?
NCT ID NCT07585851
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-stage trial tests whether ketoconazole, a drug normally used for fungal infections, can get into brain tumors (gliomas) and possibly slow their growth. About 80 adults with different grades of glioma will take the drug before their scheduled surgery. Researchers will measure how much of the drug reaches the tumor to see if it's worth studying further.
