New technique tested to halt Vision-Thinning eye disease
NCT ID NCT07426029
Summary
This study tested a modified version of a standard eye procedure for people with keratoconus, a condition that thins and warps the cornea. The researchers wanted to see if injecting air into the cornea first could make the treatment safer and more effective for patients whose corneas are already very thin. They enrolled 39 participants to compare the safety and results of this new approach.
