Summary

This study tested whether Kegel pelvic floor exercises could reduce urinary retention, pain, and improve comfort in 58 adults after lumbar disc herniation surgery. Participants were immobile for the first 8 hours after surgery and did not have a urinary catheter. The researchers measured symptoms like lower abdomen pressure and pain using a standard scale.
