New hope for KRAS lung cancer: targeted pill plus immunotherapy after surgery

Summary
This study tests whether adding a targeted drug (MK-1084) to standard immunotherapy after surgery can help prevent KRAS G12C-mutant lung cancer from coming back. About 400 adults with stage IIA-IIIB non-small cell lung cancer who have had complete tumor removal will be randomly assigned to receive either the new combination or a placebo plus immunotherapy. The main goal is to see if the combination extends the time without cancer recurrence.
