New diabetes drug JY09 aims to lower blood sugar in patients not helped by diet alone

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called JY09 in 270 adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar is not well controlled by diet and exercise alone. Participants receive either JY09 or a placebo for up to 54 weeks. The main goal is to see if JY09 safely lowers blood sugar levels (HbA1c) better than placebo.
