New psoriasis pill shows promise in Long-Term skin clearing

Summary
This study tested a new oral medication, JNJ-77242113, in 227 adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who had already completed a previous 16-week study. The goal was to see how well the drug worked over 36 weeks, measuring skin improvement using the Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI). Results showed that many participants achieved significant skin clearance, suggesting the drug may help control the disease long-term. However, this is not a cure, as ongoing treatment is likely needed.
