NCT ID NCT03264196

First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at 14 adults with a rare type of broken jaw joint (condylar head fracture) to see if surgery or just advice and exercises works better for chewing and jaw function. Participants were randomly assigned to either have surgery to fix the bone or receive conservative care without surgery. The goal is to find out which approach helps patients recover better.
