NCT ID NCT07346976
First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study is testing a new, non-invasive breath test to predict jaundice risk in newborns. Jaundice is a common condition where a baby's skin turns yellow, and if severe, it can cause brain damage. The test measures a gas called carbon monoxide in the baby's breath to see if it can help doctors decide which babies need treatment. The study will include 100 healthy full-term newborns and aims to find the best cutoff values for the test.
