NCT ID NCT05076006
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study tested an experimental drug (a JAK/TYK2 inhibitor) in 51 adults with cicatricial alopecia, a type of scarring hair loss that destroys hair follicles permanently. The main goals were to check the drug's safety and to see how it affects certain genes in skin and blood samples. The drug is already being studied for other conditions and aims to reduce inflammation that causes scarring.
