Summary
This study tested whether a chemotherapy drug called ixabepilone could help control advanced breast cancer that had stopped responding to standard treatments. Researchers used a special test (the Ixabepilone DRP) to try to predict which patients' tumors were most likely to respond to the drug. The trial enrolled 13 patients with metastatic breast cancer who had previously been treated with anthracycline and taxane chemotherapy.
