Summary

This study tests two different drugs in adults with a rare type of bone marrow cancer called myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) that has a specific genetic change (IDH1 mutation). Participants have not received a common first treatment (HMA) before. They will be randomly assigned to take either ivosidenib pills daily or azacitidine injections for one week each month. The goal is to see which drug works better at controlling the disease.
