New drug cocktail targets Hard-to-Treat blood cancers

NCT ID NCT03471260

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study is for people with certain blood cancers (like leukemia) that have a specific genetic change called an IDH1 mutation. It tests a combination of two or three drugs: ivosidenib (targets the mutation), venetoclax (blocks a protein that helps cancer cells survive), and sometimes azacitidine (a chemotherapy drug). The goal is to find the best doses and see how well the combo works at shrinking or controlling the cancer. About 96 adults with relapsed, refractory, or newly diagnosed disease who cannot have standard chemo are being recruited.
