First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested a new gel called IVIEW 1201 against standard antibiotic eye drops (ofloxacin) for treating acute bacterial conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye. About 129 people aged 15 and older with pink eye took part. The goal was to see if the gel works as well as the drops in clearing up redness and discharge, and in killing the bacteria.
