First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether special caps and securement devices can prevent infections and other problems from central lines (tubes placed in large veins). About 2,500 patients with new or existing lines will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care or the new devices. The goal is to find the safest, most effective methods to reduce serious complications like bloodstream infections.
