First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study compared a combination of two oral medications (itraconazole and isotretinoin) against itraconazole alone for treating resistant fungal skin infections caused by Trichophyton. 148 adults with confirmed infection were randomly assigned to one of the two groups. The goal was to see if adding isotretinoin improves cure rates and reduces the chance of the infection coming back.
