First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested a new medicine called ITI-007 in 696 people with schizophrenia who were having a sudden worsening of symptoms. For 6 weeks, some received ITI-007, some a placebo, and some an active comparator. The main goal was to see if ITI-007 reduces symptoms like hallucinations and delusions better than placebo. The results help determine if this drug could be a new treatment option for schizophrenia.
