First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study aims to understand how people perceive itch and pain, including the effects of placebo and nocebo. Thirty healthy adults will have small areas of their forearms treated with substances that cause itching, then rate their sensations. The goal is to learn more about the body's itch and pain receptors, not to treat any condition.
