New pacemaker approach may reduce heart failure risk

Summary
This study aims to find out if a newer type of pacemaker, called conduction system pacing, is better than the standard pacemaker at preventing heart failure in people with heart block. About 1,260 adults who need a pacemaker will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. Researchers will track heart failure events, hospitalizations, and quality of life over time.
