Blood protein may reveal hidden arthritis activity

NCT ID NCT07374367

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at a protein called isthmin-1 in the blood of people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and compares it to healthy people. Researchers want to see if higher levels of this protein match up with more active disease, as seen on ultrasound scans. About 66 adults with RA will take part, and the goal is to find a simple blood test that helps doctors track RA activity more easily.
